Formby Parker & Crowther Branch Celebrate 70k Refurbishment in style by helping animal charities.
Our Formby veterinary practice marked their £70,000 refurbishment by opening its doors in a fantastic open day in October 2019 and raised money for charities.
The event gave pet owners a glimpse behind the scenes following the wide scale improvement works and it also doubled up as an open day.
We opened our doors and also helped to raise money for two charities Freshfields Animal Rescue and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
With lots of fun activities and children could bring their teddies along to be bandaged by vets and nurses, face painting and temporary wildlife tattoos and the staff had been baking for a cake sale.
Freshfields animal rescue team members attended to give advice if you find a hedgehog during the winter and there was also guess the weight of the pumpkin competition.
The renovations saw the branch double the consultation rooms allowing them to see more pets for treatment and preventative healthcare.
There is now a separate cat ward for cats that are key in for treatment for a more relaxing experience. There is a new pharmacy area and staff area where vets nurses and receptionist can relax on their lunch breaks.
Senior Head Veterinary Nurse Clare Cartwright said “The refurbishment means that the practice can grow as we are able to see more clients and their pets. We now have two vets consulting and are expanding our nurse clinics, which include puppy/kitten, flea/worming advice, weight and senior/mobility clinics. Clients visiting the practice will see a major transformation following the improvements, including new flooring, decor and reception area”.
