Trish has been a registered "human" nurse since 1985 , leaving her role as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing in 1993 when her daughter popped along. After owning 2 successful small businesses, she started working at the Formby and Maghull surgeries in 2001.
She loves the combination of animal, client and staff care that her role offers Hobbies include yoga,cooking, gardening and up until recently she was the coach and secretary of Formby Netball Club. Trish is a fan of Liverpool Football Club and Formula 1.
Sarah Rule RVN
Assistant Practice Manager / Veterinary nurse
Sarah has worked at Parker and Crowther since 2006 and lives in Crosby. She has many dogs, cats and other animals. She is married and enjoys walking in the lakes, music and films.
Philip Lauder BSc (hons), BVSc, MRCVS
Phil joined Parker and Crowther in 2016 and, following Paul Crowther's retirement, has become our Clinical Director. Phil qualified from The University of Liverpool in 2005 and has worked in small animal practice for the last 13 years, mostly in South Liverpool. He has a special interests in surgery, and in particular orthopaedics. He use the latest techniques to treat cruciate disease (A tibial tuberosity advancement ). Phil is currently working towards a postgraduate certificate in surgery. Phil has a young family and a 12 year old rescue dog called Miles (who likes to hang out at our Formby branch!). Phil enjoys family days out in the countryside, hiking, cycling and camping.
Sara Creech BVM&S, MRCVS
Sara works at our Daleside, Formby and Maghull Branches and joined our practice in January 2016 and is our Senior Veterinary Surgeon.
Sara first joined our practice as a saturday assistant back in 1999, until leaving for Vet School in 2003. Following graduation, Sara worked in a Liverpool - based group of practices, where she started studying towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (certAVP) with the University of Liverpool. Sara rejoined our practice in 2016 and was pleased to see the many familiar faces still working in the veterinary team! Sara enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly complex medical cases and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time she enjoys working with, and rehabilitating shelter animals and wildlife.
Rachel Banks BVM&S MRCVS
Rachel graduated from Edinburgh’s Royal School of Veterinary Studies in 2019. She grew up in Maghull, bringing her own cat Skippy (an exception to the naughty tortie rule) to Parker and Crowther through the years. Rachel fell in love with Edinburgh during her time there, but after graduation decided to return home to Liverpool to be close to family. Despite having an adoration for all animals great and small, she elected to pursue life as a small animal veterinary surgeon. Rachel enjoys all aspects of her job, from a young age it was her dream to work with animals and since the age of 14 has devoted much of her time to this on a voluntary basis... Outside of work she can be found frequenting the gym or hiking with her camera and photographing sunsets!
Victoria Carbery Bsc (hons) BVetMed MRCVS
Vicky qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2012, since then she has worked at the RSPCA hospital in Manchester and a practice in Staffordshire. She has a special interest in all aspects of medicine and ultrasonography. In her spare time she enjoys baking, which all members of the team appreciate!
Vicky joined our practice in January 2016 and works at Daleside, Formby and Maghull branches.
Nav Chater MA VetMB MRCVS
Since qualifying from Cambridge Vet School, Nav has worked at various small animal practices around the midlands. Taking time out to travel overseas for various conservation projects and exploration. She then settled in London for 10 years before moving to Formby with her young family.
Nav started life at Parker & Crowther as a part time locum and is now a permanent staff member.
Their family has grown to include Bubba their adopted senior cat. When not being a vet Nav loves to draw, paint and lots of crafting.
Ian Foster BVetMed MRCVS PgCert (SA Ophthalmology)
I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1994 and started working in small animal practice treating all manner of small animals as well as a local zoo and a number of Ostrich farms. After 3 years in practice, I undertook an internship in a wildlife hospital before moving to work in my old University teaching and supporting students.
Eventually I returned to general practice and have spent the past 18 years working with small animals and gaining a certificate in Ophthalmology. In my free time I love hill walking and am a little obsessive about collecting vinyl records.

Laura qualified from Liverpool University in 2007.
Laura works at our Daleside and Churchtown branches.
Clare Cartwright RVN BSc
Senior Head Nurse
Clare has been working in veterinary practices since she was 15 years old and qualified with a BSc Degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2008. She has been working in our Formby branch since 2008. Clare is also a Pet Health Counsellor for Royal Canin. In 2018 she achieved the award ‘Outstanding Contribution to Pet Health Counselling’ for all her hard work she has done over the last 10 years as a Pet Health Counsellor for the Formby branch. She has Patterdale Terriers called Holly and Timmy, two hand reared cats called Tiggs and Ruby and a tropical fish tank. Clare enjoys socialising with her family and friends and looking after her two children and their many activities.
Fiona Parker RVN
Fiona qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2014. She has 3 children,2dogs and 2 cats. She has keen interests in gymnastics,art,music and is an avid Rugby league fan(St Helens being her team).
She loves yoga,spending time with family and friends, and has a keen interests in gardening,cooking,walking,saving the planet and enjoying life :)
Kirsty Balch RVN
I qualified as a vet nurse in 2012 and joined the Parker and Crowther family July 2019 becoming Head nurse in January 2020.
I have particular interests in nurse clinics (with a soft spot for the oldies), wound management, dentistry and physiotherapy.
I have a collection of rescued cats and dogs and in my spare time love to read, travel and assist with charity work for Animal SOS Sri Lanka whom I've volunteered with on numerous occasions.
Kathryn Rice RVN
Kathryn started working for Parker and Crowther in September 2012 and has been a qualified RVN for over 11 years. She has a cat called Daisy and her boyfriend, Gary (in that order!). Kathryn loves to knit, paint and watch murder mysteries. She is Head Nurse at Churchside
Libby Coulter RVN
Libby started with Parker and Crowther in December 2020 and works at our Formby branch. Libby has just recently qualified as a vet nurse and has been working in the veterinary industry for 9 years now which has been something, she is very passionate about. Libby lives with her tabby cat Honey and wirehaired dachshund Edgar.
Debra Draco RVN
I enjoy using my knowledge to support our clients to help them, keep their pets happy and healthy. My commitment to helping pet's has helped me to change my career from being creative to healthcare, I first started working in the Television Industry, to Vet Nursing. I first worked on Brookside, then Hollyoaks, for the first 20 years of my career. I now spend my days doing a job I love and my contribution to the local community matters to me. I work with a great team of professionals and look forward to meeting you, if you need us.
Chris Loughran RVN
Chris has been working at our Formby and Maghull branches since late 2018. She has worked at different practices and environments spanning over many years of her career.
Chris has a beautiful cat called Bramble at home and you may see his portrait up if you visit our Formby reception area.
Ashley Pounder RVN
Ashley joined in June and qualified in 2019. She has two miniature Dachshunds called Dudley, Stan and Mabel. Three cats, rabbits, and a variety of exotic pets. In her spare time Ashley volunteers for the Bat conservation trust as a registered bat carer and rehabilitator. She also enjoys travelling and aims to volunteer abroad at least once a year and spent a month working on a neutering project in Chernobyl during 2019.
Victoria Rankin RVN
I have been a Veterinary Nurse all my working life and I still love helping to provide the best care to all your pets. I joined Parker and Crowther late 2020 and have settled in well. I have had experience in many areas of vet nursing such as large animal, equine, referral and charity work.
I am a mum of three children and multiple animals of my own. I love to spend time outside, walking, horse riding and skiing. I also run my own Green Beauty Business as Tropic Skincare Ambassador in whatever spare time I can find!

Amanda Rimmer RVN
Amanda qualified in 2013 with a degree in Veterinary Nursingand started working for Parker and Crowther in September 2020. Amanda’s previous work includes working in a busy animal hospital setting and living and working in S.E. Asia.
Her passion includes providing optimum compassionate inpatient care, support through pet bereavement and a keen interest in dentistry. Looking to the future I would like to extend my knowledge into pain relief management and providing comfort for our more elderly patients.
Kelly Spark RVN
Kelly started working for Parker and Crowther in March 2021. Kelly qualified as a veterinary nurse from MYF college in 2019, after working in the industry since 2012. Although she loves all aspects of nursing she has a particular interest in animal nutrition. At home she has two cats, Luna and Mr O’Malley, and a chocolate Labrador called Oliver, along with her little boy and fiancé. In her spare time she loves to craft, such as sew and crochet.
Claire Shepherd RVN
Claire qualified in 2015 and has been working at Parker and Crowther since the start of 2018. She has a particular interest in feline welfare and behaviour, and has been over to the Greek island of Skiathos helping to neuter street cats for Skiathos cat welfare. Claire owns a rescue dog and 4 rescue cats.
Emily Mandley (Svn)
Student Veterinary Nurse
Currently in my second year of studying to become a registered veterinary nurse. Alongside this I have a BSc in animal behaviour and welfare from the University of Chester, so, it is safe to say I love animals! I have a socially awkward cat called Kiki that I acquired in my first 2 weeks working at Parker and Crowther, I adore her.
I look after lots of birds and hedgehogs over the summer and enjoy caring and rehabilitating wildlife. I live with my boyfriend in Birkdale and enjoy reading and spending time with my friends. I have a great work team and can not wait to be qualified.
Heather has worked for Parker and Crowther since 1991 in the role of Patient Care Assistant/ Receptionist, and admin . She graduated from The University of Kent and lives locally with her chihuahua's and birds.
Holly started working at our Formby surgery in 2008. She has a Foundation Degree in Animal Welfare (Nursing) from Myerscough College.She Keeps Chickens, Turkeys and Tortoises. . When she is not at work Holly likes to help around her parents garden nursery.
Karen works at our Daleside and Churchtown surgeries as a receptionist. She has 3 dogs, 3 cats and 6 hens. In her spare time she likes to walk her dogs and go to the gym.
Cherie lived in Ireland until she was 16, where she found a love for animals from living on a farm.
Cherie has diplomas in big cat studies, canine obedience and small animal nutrition, and has a keen interest in canine behaviour and nutrition, which she hopes to expand on in the future.
Cheri has been working as an veterinary auxiliary nurse since jan 2018, and started in Parker and Crowther in march 2019 and where she hopes to do a degree in veterinary nursing very soon.
Cheri is a proud owner of a Northern Inuit dog called Elsa, a cat called Kiara and a snake called Noodle, and she hopes to adopt a new dog to add to our family very soon!
After 40 years working in the banking industry Sue joined the Reception team at our Birkdale Surgery in February 2020.Sue enjoys working as part of a team supporting her colleagues in providing a professional and caring environment for our clients and their pets.Out of work Sue enjoys the outdoors, walking and cycling.
Kat Williams Stock Champion
Kat joined Parker and Crowther in October 2020 and works at our Birkdale surgery. She has a particular interest in horses and graduated from Myerscough College in 2010 with a BSc in Equine Science.
In her spare time, Kat enjoys adventuring out into the countryside with her two spaniels. She is also a member of a local badminton club and supports Everton FC.
I joined Parker and Crowther earlier 2020 as a Receptionist/PCA and work mainly at our Formby branch.
Previously I have had various animal roles including Urban Farm worker, caring for a wide range of animals, receptionist in a local animal hospital and animal rescue role to mention a few.
I own 2 rescue cats & have been kickboxing for over 25 years (currently holding a black belt ) I am also now a ladies boxing and personal training coach.
Vicky has been working for Parker & Crowther for just over 12 years as housekeeper. Vicky is married mum of 3 and nana of 2. She has a Dalmatian called Domino and what a character he is. Vicky has many hobbies and some include holidaying in the UK and decorating.
