    Trish Tinsley

    Practice Manager

    Trish has been a registered "human" nurse since 1985 , leaving her role as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing in 1993 when her daughter popped along. After owning 2 successful small businesses, she  started working at the Formby and Maghull surgeries in 2001. She loves the combination of animal, client and staff care that her role offers  Hobbies include yoga,cooking, gardening and up until recently she was the coach and secretary of Formby Netball Club. Trish is a fan of Liverpool Football Club and Formula 1.

    Sarah has worked at Parker and Crowther since 2006 and lives in Crosby. She has many dogs, cats and other animals. She is married and enjoys walking in the lakes, music and films.

    Philip Lauder

    Clinical Director / Veterinary Surgeon

    BSc (hons), BVSc, MRCVS CertAVP(GSAS)

    Phil joined Parker and Crowther in 2016, following Paul Crowther and John Parker's retirement. Since then, he has become our Clinical Director. Phil qualified from The University of Liverpool in 2005 and has worked in small animal practice for the last 16 years. He has a special interests in surgery, and in particular orthopaedics.  He uses the latest techniques to treat cruciate disease (TTA and CCWO-TPLO). Phil has recently completed a postgraduate certificate as an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner. Phil has a young family and a 15 year old rescue dog called Miles (who still loves his beach walks!). Phil enjoys family days out in the countryside, hiking, cycling and camping.

    Sara Creech

    Senior Veterinary Surgeon

    Sara works at our Daleside, Formby and Maghull Branches and joined our practice in January 2016 and is our Senior Veterinary Surgeon. Sara first joined our practice as a saturday assistant back in 1999, until leaving for Vet School in 2003. Following graduation, Sara worked in a Liverpool - based group of practices, where she started studying towards a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (certAVP) with the University of Liverpool. Sara rejoined our practice in 2016 and was pleased to see the many familiar faces still working in the veterinary team! Sara enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly complex medical cases and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time she enjoys working with, and rehabilitating shelter animals and wildlife.

    Pawel joined Parker and Crowther team in 2021 and will work between our Birkdale and Formby branches. Pawel qualified from University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland in 2016. Pawel moved to United Kingdom with his partner and rescue dog Lara in 2018. Since that time he has worked in small animal practices in Derbyshire and Merseyside. Outside being a vet he enjoys long walks on nearby beach and woods, hiking in Peak District with his friends and playing console games.

    Rachel Banks

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Rachel graduated from Edinburgh’s Royal School of Veterinary Studies in 2019. She grew up in Maghull, bringing her own cat Skippy (an exception to the naughty tortie rule) to Parker and Crowther through the years. Rachel fell in love with Edinburgh during her time there, but after graduation decided to return home to Liverpool to be close to family. Despite having an adoration for all creatures great and small, she elected to pursue life as a solely small animal veterinary surgeon! Rachel enjoys all aspects of her job, and works across all of our branches. Rachel has two rescue pugs and outside of work she can be found at the gym, baking or hiking in the lake district with her camera.

    Nav Chater

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Since qualifying from Cambridge Vet School, Nav has worked at various small animal practices around the midlands. Taking time out to travel overseas for various conservation projects and exploration. She then settled in London for 10 years before moving to Formby with her young family. Nav started life at Parker & Crowther as a part time locum and is now a permanent teammember. Their family has grown to include Bubba their adopted senior cat. When not being a vet Nav loves to draw, paint and lots of crafting.

    Daisy Purcell

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Daisy joined the Parker and Crowther team after graduating from University of Liverpool in 2023. She enjoys all aspects of small animal work with particular interests in Dermatology and Anaesthesia. In her spare time Daisy likes yoga, cooking and helping out on her family farm in the Lake District with her two border collies, Lisha and Jean.

    I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 1994 and started working in small animal practice treating all manner of small animals as well as a local zoo and a number of Ostrich farms. After 3 years in practice, I undertook an internship in a wildlife hospital before moving to work in my old University teaching and supporting students. Eventually I returned to general practice and have spent the past 18 years working with small animals and gaining a certificate in Ophthalmology. In my free time I love hill walking and am a little obsessive about collecting vinyl records.

    Aurora qualified from The University of Leon (Spain) in 2018. Since she was 3 years old, she decided that she wanted to become an "animal doctor" and she is now living her childhood dream! She has a special interest in imaging diagnostics and would like to work towards a certificate in this field. In her spare time, Aurora loves going climbing, hiking or enjoying some chill time at home, reading and cooking. Aurora works between our Formby and Daleside branches.

    Clare Cartwright

    Senior Head Nurse

    Clare has been working in veterinary practices since she was 15 years old and qualified with a BSc Degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2008. She has been working in our Formby branch since 2008. Clare is also a Pet Health Counsellor for Royal Canin. In 2018 she achieved the award ‘Outstanding Contribution to Pet Health Counselling’ for all her hard work she has done over the last 10 years as a Pet Health Counsellor for the Formby branch. Clare enjoys socialising with her family and friends and looking after her two children and their many activities.

    Fiona Parker

    Fiona qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2014. She has 3 children,2dogs and 2 cats. She has keen interests in gymnastics,art,music and is an avid Rugby league fan(St Helens being her team). She loves yoga,spending time with family and friends, and has a keen interests in gardening,cooking,walking,saving the planet and enjoying life :)

    Sam Evans

    Sam has been in practice since 2010, starting as a nursing assistant and then qualifying in 2016. Sam enjoys all aspects of 1st opinion nursing but loves assisting in theatre and particularly enjoys orthopaedic surgery.  Sam loves cats and rabbits and has a rescue ragdoll cat called Joey and a hamster called Narna. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband and loves going to the gym.

    I qualified as a vet nurse in 2012 and joined the Parker and Crowther family July 2019 becoming Head nurse in January 2020. I have particular interests in nurse clinics (with a soft spot for the oldies), wound management, dentistry and physiotherapy. I have a collection of rescued cats and dogs and in my spare time love to read, travel and assist with charity work for Animal SOS Sri Lanka whom I've volunteered with on numerous occasions.

    I enjoy using my knowledge to support our clients to help them, keep their pets happy and healthy. My commitment to helping pet's has helped me to change my career from being creative to healthcare, I first started working in the Television Industry, to Vet Nursing. I first worked on Brookside, then Hollyoaks, for the first 20 years of my career. I now spend my days doing a job I love and my contribution to the local community matters to me. I work with a great team of professionals and look forward to meeting you, if you need us.

    Kathryn started working for Parker and Crowther in September 2012 and has been a qualified RVN since 2004. Kathryn loves to knit, paint and watch murder mysteries. She is a nurse at Churchside.

    After deciding on a career change, Sinead qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2016. She works at our Birkdale branch, and loves the varied and challenging nature of her role. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors, swimming and hiking with her children and dogs.

    Chris has been working at our Formby and Maghull branches since late 2018. She has worked at different practices and environments spanning over many years of her career. Chris has a beautiful cat called Bramble at home and you may see his portrait up if you visit our Formby reception area.

    Kelly Spark

    Kelly started working for Parker and Crowther in March 2021. Kelly qualified as a veterinary nurse from MYF college in 2019, after working in the industry since 2012. Although she loves all aspects of nursing she has a particular interest in animal nutrition. At home she has two cats, Luna and Mr O’Malley, and a chocolate Labrador called Oliver, along with her little boy and fiancé. In her spare time she loves to craft, such as sew and crochet.

    Claire qualified in 2015 and has been working at Parker and Crowther since the start of 2018. She has a particular interest in feline welfare and behaviour, and has been over to the Greek island of Skiathos helping to neuter street cats for Skiathos cat welfare. Claire owns a rescue dog and 4 rescue cats. We are delighted to announce that Claire Shepherd has been crowned Petplan Veterinary Nurse of the Year.

    Connor Burton

    Connor joined the Parker and Crowther team in late 2021 and works at our Daleside and Formby branch. Connor has strived to become a veterinary nurse since witnessing his own cat in an Road traffic accident and experiencing a veterinary practice as a client himself, since then he has studied animal management level 3, where he met the love of his life and veterinary partner. Working passionately for the RSPCA with cruelty cases of all ranges, then moving onto higher ground finding a veterinary practice to become a student veterinary nurse. Now, trying to complete his final exam he is working with Parker and Crowther to hopefully help him achieve his final student goal.

    Danielle graduated from Myerscough College as a Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and started with our Birkdale branch in October 2022. One of her passions is to provide excellent inpatient care to hospitalised animals alongside hand rearing neonates, she finds it incredibly rewarding and worthwhile.  In her spare time Danielle enjoys family time with her daughter and loves taking her three dogs for muddy walks and casual swims!

    Stacey completed her veterinary nurse training with Parker and Crowther working with us from 2009-2018 before moving down south with her partner, where she worked between a 24-hour hospital and small animal practices. Stacey rejoined the Parker and Crowther team in July 2023 once again after moving back to Southport to settle with her family. She especially enjoys providing nursing care to inpatients who are hospitalised, and also supporting clients and their pets during our nurse clinics. In her spare time, she enjoys family time and lots of days out with her family, friends', partner and daughters.

    Stephanie is one of our full time nurses working at our Birkdale Branch. She attended Harper Adams University and graduated in 2010 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management. She has worked in various roles with veterinary, from Head Nurse to territory manager. She joined the team here at Parker and Crowther in April 2024. She is a Clinical Coach and loves being involved with teaching the veterinary nursing students.

    In her spare time Stephanie enjoys baking, open water swimming and music, especially festivals! She has 2 beautiful Rough Collies, Bob and Jessie.

    Megan joined our team in September 2021 and hopes to begin her veterinary nursing training with us soon. Megan travelled to South Africa in 2019 where she spent a month working alongside Registered Veterinary Nurses - it was there she found her calling.

    Cherie Tucker

    Student Veterinary Nurse

    Cherie lived in Ireland until she was 16, where she found a love for animals from living on a farm.

    Cherie has diplomas in big cat studies, canine obedience and small animal nutrition, and has a keen interest in canine behaviour and nutrition, which she hopes to expand on in the future. Cheri has been working as an veterinary auxiliary nurse since jan 2018, and started in Parker and Crowther in march 2019 and where she hopes to do a degree in veterinary nursing very soon. Cheri is a proud owner of a Northern Inuit dog called Elsa, a cat called Kiara and a snake called Noodle, and she hopes to adopt a new dog to add to our family very soon!

    Heather has worked for Parker and Crowther since 1991 in the role of Patient Care Assistant/ Receptionist, and now our insurance and accounts administrator. She graduated from The University of Kent and lives locally with her chihuahua's and birds.

    Holly started working at our Formby surgery in 2008. She has a Foundation Degree in Animal Welfare (Nursing) from Myerscough College.She Keeps Chickens, Turkeys and Tortoises. . When she is not at work Holly likes to help around her parents garden nursery.

    Karen works at our Daleside and Churchtown surgeries as a receptionist. She has 3 dogs, 3 cats and 6 hens. In her spare time she likes to walk her dogs and go to the gym.

    Sue joined the Formby branch in March 2021 after being in the Banking Industry for 34 years and 10 years in children’s nursery. She enjoys working as a team and helping and supporting our clients and pets needs at reception. She enjoys netball, paddle boarding, walking and cycling.

Sue enjoys working as part of a team supporting her colleagues in providing a professional and caring environment for our clients and their pets. Out of work Sue enjoys the outdoors, walking and cycling.

    Kat joined Parker and Crowther in October 2020 and works at our Birkdale surgery.  She has a particular interest in horses and graduated from Myerscough College in 2010 with a BSc in Equine Science. In her spare time, Kat enjoys adventuring out into the countryside with her two spaniels.  She is also a member of a local badminton club and supports Everton FC.

    I joined Parker and Crowther earlier 2020 as a Receptionist/PCA and work mainly at our Formby branch.

    Previously I have had various animal roles including Urban Farm worker, caring for a wide range of animals, receptionist in a local animal hospital and animal rescue role to mention a few.

    I own 2 rescue cats & have been kickboxing for over 25 years (currently holding a black belt ) I am also now a ladies boxing and personal training coach.

    Sarah joined Parker & Crowther Birkdale branch in July 2022. She also works at Freshfields Animal Rescue and before then she was at the RSPCA for 7 years. Sarah has a degree in Wildlife Conservation and studied Animal Management in college and has done volunteer work in South Africa. Sarah has two dogs, Martha & Penny who love to go hiking and swimming and 3 cats.

    Ellen Dodson

    Receptionist

    Ellen joined the Parker & Crowther Birkdale branch in April 23. Ellen has 17 years of experience working with rescue animals at the RSPCA, with a passion for dog behaviour and handrearing neonatals.

    Before settling down and having a family, Ellen travelled the world volunteering with animals such as Rhinos, Giant pandas and Turtles.

    She currently owns a Staffy called Penny, a Frenchie called Olive and two cats called Rick and Delta.

    Kaitlin started working for the practice in 2023 , after deciding on a career change to work towards becoming a registered veterinary nurse and hopefully start college in September. She had been a client at the practice for many years , with her very own naughty staffie , Sasha!

    Sharon has worked within the veterinary industry for the last 15 years and has loved every second of it. Her main interests are walking her 3 dogs, Smartie, Cindy and Sheba and crafting (usually anything dog related) and also enjoys DIY and gardening.

    Vicky has been working for Parker & Crowther for just over 12 years as housekeeper. Vicky is married mum of 3 and nana of 2. She has a Dalmatian called Domino and what a character he is. Vicky has many hobbies and some include holidaying in the UK and decorating.

     Elle started working at our Maghull branch in 2024 with our reception team and Animal Nursing Assistant.
    Elle has a degree in Bio veterinary Science and graduated in July 2023 from the University of Liverpool. She has always had a love for animals ever since her first pet Daisy and now she has 2 Japanese Akitas Lilo and Zeus.
